The Leeuwarder Student Championship Field Football Tournament has existed since 2000. The first 7 years the tournament was organized by the student association Futurum Vivens. With the demise of the association in 2006, the tournament threatened to disappear from the calendar. This would be a shame. This was also the opinion of the other student associations in Leeuwarden.
THE HISTORY OF LSV
In 2007, Leeuwarden Studiestad and the IBOS* took on the organization of this fun event. The tournament is always on the 1st Wednesday in June.
*Inter-governmental consultative body student associations. Consisting of sv. Osiris, Io Vivat, Sempiternus, Wolwêze, Navigators Leeuwarden, Wijnvereniging Dionysus, it Bernlef Ielde and Huize Bacchus.
